HIsmelt (Operations) Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of HIsmelt Corporation Pty Limited (HIsmelt), otherwise known as HIOps, operates and maintains the HIsmelt Kwinana Joint Venture facility. The unincorporated Joint Venture was established in 2002, for the purpose of constructing and operating the first commercial HIsmelt plant based on a 6-metre diameter Smelt Reduction Vessel (SRV) at Kwinana, in Western Australia.
